Why should you elope in Juneau, Alaska?

I think the question would be easier to answer if it was why you shouldn’t.

Why should you elope at all? Choosing to elope gives you freedom. Freedom to do what YOU want to do and be who YOU want to be. No mother in laws to answer to, no giant catering bill, and more importantly no one to answer to but yourself.

Why Juneau? Alaska has it all.

We really do. Juneau is not only home to our State Capitol but also my home. I was born and raised in Juneau and have endless location ideas in my back pocket. Secret sandy beaches, glaciers, ice caves, alpine lakes, mine ruins, lush rainforest, towering mountains… YOU NAME IT. It’s where the mountains meet the ocean.

Getting married in Alaska is easy.

• “Venues” are free! No need to book a large expensive reception hall.

• Anyone can marry you! In the state of Alaska anyone can become ordained and perform your ceremony. Including myself and my husband ;), although we work with a hand full of great officiants.
